The C&D's Microprojector main feature is it allows small and large groups of pupils to view slides simultaneously. The instrument also contains a drawing facility so that a pupil is able to 'trace' the projected image upon paper placed on a bench.
Microprojector
9" Projection head, mirror attachment for drawing purposes and projection of live cells, 10x and 2x projection eyepieces.
Rack and pinion course and fine focus. Triple nosepiece with 4x,10x and 40x objectives. Diecast stage with X. Y. mechanical stage. Substage iris diaphragm. Two part Abbe condenser, the upper condenser can be switched into or out of the optical path for the 40x objective.
The lamphouse assembly consists of heat absorbing glass filter, condenser lens, 12volt 100watt halogen lamp in a centering unit.
9" Projection Head
A x10 projection eyepiece is used with the 9" head in normal indirect lighting of classroom or laboratory. see table below for magnifications
Full projection
A x2 projection eyepiece is for use in full blackout conditions onto a screen or white wall. The x10 eyepiece can also be used for this purpose at shorter distances away from screen. see table below for magnifications
Monocular Microscope
By moving the dense filter into the optical path the microprojector can be used as a standard microscope.
Drawing aid
The drawing attachment is used with the x10 eyepiece and fits over the eyepiece tube and projects a 175mm picture.
